The grave of Harry Fooksman, alias Private Harry Ross in B’nai Israel Cemetery, Southern Avenue. The inscription reads:
‘Here lies my beloved son the young man
Tzvi ben r. Uri Reuben
Fuksman
d. 7 Iyar 5676 Age 24.’
The memorial incorrectly records his death as being on 9 May; he died on 6 May 1916. The date ‘7 Iyar 5676‘ converts to the date of his burial: 10 May 1916.
