Cadet Wilfred Cecil Alcock was a British immigrant who died in a flying accident in Texas on 24 November 1917; he is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private William Francis Bent served in France with 20th Battalion in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and was attached briefly to 250th Tunnelling Company. He took his own life in Portland, Oregon on 29 August 1921 and is buried in Edson Cemetery, Lowell. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Laughlin Black served in France through the latter half of 1918 with 14th Battalion in 1st Canadian Division. He died of nephritis in Chelsea, Massachusetts on 25 March 1921 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private James Brennan served in France with 24th Battalion in 2nd Canadian Division, where he was wounded during the Battle of Amiens in August 1918. He died of tuberculosis on 9 October 1920 and is buried in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private James W. Burke served briefly with the 25th Battalion in Halifax before he died of nephritis on 15 January 1915, aged 17. He is buried in Southborough Rural Cemetery, Southborough. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Gunner John Cameron was a Scot who was undergoing training with 79th Depot Battery, Canadian Field Artillery when he died of pneumonia in Montreal on 16 October 1918; he is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Raymond Collier served for only three weeks with 1st Depot Battalion, New Brunswick Regiment before dying of pneumonia on 8 June 1918; he is buried in Saint Jean Cemetery, Lynn. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private John Robert Collinson served in France with 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion and was wounded. He died (unrelated to his wounding) on 27 September 1920 and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Patrick Joseph Connolly, a pre-war Irish immigrant, served with 7th (Service) Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment at Gallipoli and in Mesopotamia. He died in Boston on 7 December 1920 and is buried in New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Second Lieutenant Ralph Michael Cummings was badly injured in a flying accident in Texas on 15 January 1916; he died of his injuries on 16 January. His remains were sent home and buried in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Avon. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Eugene C. Daly served very briefly and died of pneumonia on 26 March 1921 while being treated for ‘mania’ and is buried in Mount Benedict Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Roxbury. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Alfred Desmarais served very briefly before being diagnosed with epilepsy and died on 19 August 1918 while awaiting discharge. His remains were sent home and buried in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Marlborough. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Albert Moore Downs served in France with the Canadian Army Medical Corps. He died on 11 June 1921 of stomach cancer attributable to his war service and is buried in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private William Feeley served in France with the 5th Battalion and was wounded. While undergoing outpatient treatment in Montreal he died on 11 June 1920 after an accident the previous day. H is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Ezra Charles Fitch Jr. served briefly from August 1917 until he died of pneumonia on 13 October 1917 during a recruiting tour of New England. He is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Lance Corporal John Gientner, who served as John Lynch, was wounded in France while serving with the 28th Battalion. After his discharge and while undergoing out-patient treatment he was killed in a traffic accident on 12 April 1919. He is buried in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Cadet William Becker Hagan served in France as an ambulance driver with the American Field Service before returning home and joining the Royal Air Force. He died of pneumonia in Toronto on 11 May 1918 soon after his enlistment; he is buried in Holy Hood Cemetery, Chestnut Hill. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Cadet Frederick William Henderson died of nephritis on 2 June 1918, aged 19, less than two months after his enlistment into the Royal Air Force; he is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Second Lieutenant Arnold Whittier Hill died in an aircraft crash in Toronto on 13 July 1918; he is buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Seaman William Hughson was serving as a gunner aboard the SS Valverda when he contracted influenza in Boston and died of pneumonia on 22 December 1918. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Charles Porter Johnson died on 4 October 1918 of pneumonia during the influenza pandemic while training with 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment in Montreal and is buried in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Holgar Robert Johnson served in France with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in 1915 and 1916. He was evacuated back to Canada suffering from a brain tumour and died on 1 September 1918. He is buried in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Driver Frederick George Lodge died on 9 February 1920 and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.

Sapper Timothy P. Looney died on 27 November 1920 and is buried in Saint John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Worcester.

Private Harold John McNanley died on 13 August 1917 and is buried in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.

Private Harry James Miller died on 6 December 1918 and is buried in Edson Cemetery, Lowell.

Sapper John J. Nestor died on 9 July 1920 and is buried in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.

Private Timothy O’Riordan died on 10 April 1919 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Private Gustave Savard died on 19 November 1920 and is buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

Gunner Theodore Augustas Southwick died on 27 April 1918 and is buried in Worcester Rural Cemetery, Worcester.

Private Ray Clifford Turner died on 5 January 1918 and is buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Lowell.

Private William Joseph Welsh died on 31 January 1918 and is buried in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.

Private Kenneth Walter Wilson died on 13 July 1919 and is buried in Newton Cemetery, Newton Centre.
