New Mexico

There are two burials in New Mexico.

Sapper John Barton Carter served with 1st Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops in France. He died of tuberculosis on 14 May 1920 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.

Private Joseph Deschenes, a French-Canadian, served in France and Flanders with 44th Battalion and with 16th Canadian Machine Gun Company; he was gassed at Passchendaele. He died of tuberculosis on 25 April 1920 and is buried in South Park Cemetery, Roswell. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission record is here.
