The grave to the right is that of Edwin Jones, a British soldier who was a naturalized US citizen, and a long-time resident and police officer in Providence. He was wounded or gassed and discharged from the British Army in 1918 and, having returned home, died in Providence on 5 September 1918. He is not commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and his story warrants further research.
